Our curriculum is 'Akaloo', from Augsburg Fortress. For
the teachers, the online support includes all the fabulous features of the previous teacher guides; scripts of what
to say, questions to ask, answers to seek, crafts, skits and games. The students not only benefit from the teachers
having this resource, but there are additional online activities are available for the students to augment what they
learn in the classroom.
We use a team-teaching approach at Saint Paul Lutheran Church. The 10:30 Sunday school
classes are taught using two teams of two teachers each Sunday; one teacher is responsible for lesson planning the other
will be there to assist. Responsibility for lesson planning will rotate among all four teachers. The 9:30 Sunday school
will have 2 co-teachers for each grade; one teacher will plan and teach a lesson each Sunday. Each team will be responsible
for establishing a rotation that works best for them, with most common rotation being every other Sunday for a team of two.
